Bamako to host a workshop on promotion of democracy in Africa

Bamako: The Malian capital, Bamako will on 24-25 November host an international workshop on "Promotion of peaceful democratic transitions in Africa", organized by the United Nations, the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) and the Foundation Forum of Bamako. <br><br> Several topics will be discussed during this meeting, including: "The consolidation of the rule of law in post-crisis situations"; "Constitutionalism and the rule of law " and ''Electoral process and democratic change in Africa". <br><br> These themes will be developed, among others, by eminent African academics, including El Hadj Kassé (University of Dakar, Senegal), Professor Albert Bourgi (University of Reims, France), Professor Ntumba Luaba Lumu (University of Kinshasa), Professor Theodore Holo (Benin Constitutional Court) and Professor Patrick Lumumba Loch Otieno (University of Nairobi).
