A report on the 28th African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) annual conference

The Round Table Conference of the African Association for Public Administration and Management is an Annual Event held in different member countries to address issues affecting Public Administration and Management in Africa.
The 28th AAPAM Annual Conference was held at the Arusha, International Conference Centre, Tanzania from 4th to 8th December 2006.
The conference was attended by 249 delegates from 22 countries namely; Botswana, Cameroon, Canada, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Seychelles, Sirrealeaone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) and the Commonwealth Secretariat were among the Development Partners represented at the Round Table Conference.
Mr. J.R. Lwamafa, Permanent Secretary, Mrs. A.K. Muwanga, Commisioner Human Resource Development Mr. J.J. Nanseera, Commissioner Human Resource Management, Mrs. M. Ojara, Principal Assistant Secretary, and Mr. D. Walugembe, Information Scientist from the Ministry of Public Service were among the participants from Uganda.
