Strategic country gender assessment

This Strategic Country Gender Assessment (SCGA) summarizes relevant gender issues in Benin both to support the dialogue with the government and to inform our own country strategy.
This note is meant to be a starting point for the inclusion of gender in the country work program. It is not an end in itself, or simply background information for a box on gender in the CAS. It should prompt discussion in the country team of how gender issues may be included across all sectors. The note will not restate all the reasons for including gender in our work; these are more eloquently laid-out in other documents.
